K\u0159\u00eddla na autech byla v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e na letadlech a chromu bylo na silnic\u00edch v\u00edc ne\u017e v cel\u00e9m Sov\u011btsk\u00e9m svazu. V tomto roce byla Amerika na vrcholu a Impala byla jej\u00edm nale\u0161t\u011bn\u00fdm, ok\u0159\u00eddlen\u00fdm a osmi v\u00e1lci poh\u00e1n\u011bn\u00fdm symbolem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chevrolet Impala ro\u010dn\u00edku 1959 nen\u00ed jen auto, je to poj\u00edzdn\u00e1 socha a absolutn\u00ed vrchol americk\u00e9ho automobilov\u00e9ho \u201ebaroka\u201c. Po vizu\u00e1ln\u011b t\u011b\u017e\u0161\u00edm modelu z roku &#8217;58 p\u0159i\u0161el Chevrolet s radik\u00e1ln\u00edm \u0159ezem \u2013 auto se prot\u00e1hlo, sn\u00ed\u017eilo a dostalo ty nejodv\u00e1\u017en\u011bj\u0161\u00ed zadn\u00ed ploutve v historii. Pod kapotou to nebyla \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e1 o\u0159ez\u00e1v\u00e1tka; vrcholem nab\u00eddky byl mohutn\u00fd motor V8 o objemu 348 kubick\u00fdch palc\u016f (5,7 litru) z \u0159ady \u201eW-series\u201c. Ve verzi Turbo-Thrust se t\u0159emi dvoukomorov\u00fdmi karbur\u00e1tory (tzv. Tri-Power) tahle bestie produkovala a\u017e 315 kon\u00ed, co\u017e z t\u00e9hle obrovsk\u00e9 k\u0159i\u017enice d\u011blalo na silnici po\u0159\u00e1dn\u00e9ho dravce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kdy\u017e jsem se rozhodl, \u017ee si tuhle legendu v m\u011b\u0159\u00edtku 1\/25 postav\u00edm v klasick\u00e9 kombinaci \u201eHasi\u010dsk\u00e1 \u010derven\u00e1 &amp; Sn\u011bhob\u00edl\u00e1 st\u0159echa\u201c, m\u016fj optimismus byl zhruba na \u00farovni tehdej\u0161\u00edho marketingu General Motors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stavebnice t\u00e9to legendy od firmy Monogram se py\u0161n\u00ed zhruba 145 d\u00edly (pokud mi jich p\u00e1r nese\u017eral koberec), co\u017e je proti m\u00e9mu p\u0159edchoz\u00edmu Peugeotu hotov\u00e1 arm\u00e1da plastu. Je mezi model\u00e1\u0159i vyhl\u00e1\u0161en\u00e1 svou hloubkou detail\u016f, kter\u00e9 u star\u0161\u00edch kousk\u016f neb\u00fdvaj\u00ed pravidlem. Model nab\u00edz\u00ed skv\u011ble zpracovan\u00fd motorov\u00fd prostor s v\u011brnou replikou bloku 348 V8, ale skute\u010dn\u00fdm l\u00e1kadlem jsou detaily v interi\u00e9ru a na podvozku. Najdeme tu prvky jako slune\u010dn\u00ed clony nad palubkou nebo vnit\u0159n\u00ed zp\u011btn\u00e9 zrc\u00e1tko, co\u017e interi\u00e9ru dod\u00e1v\u00e1 na uv\u011b\u0159itelnosti. Podvozek nez\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 pozadu \u2013 zav\u011b\u0161en\u00ed kol je \u0159e\u0161eno jako detailn\u00ed celek z n\u011bkolika d\u00edl\u016f, \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e1 zjednodu\u0161en\u00e1 placka. Karoserie v\u011brn\u011b zachycuje komplikovan\u00e9 k\u0159ivky a masivn\u00ed ploutve. To z n\u00ed sice d\u011bl\u00e1 kr\u00e1sn\u00fd model, ale z\u00e1rove\u0148 v\u00fdzvu pro ka\u017ed\u00e9ho, kdo to s barven\u00edm a l\u00edcov\u00e1n\u00edm mysl\u00ed v\u00e1\u017en\u011b. Samoz\u0159ejm\u011b vzhledem k v\u011bku tohoto modelu je spousta detail\u016f pom\u011brn\u011b hrub\u00fdch a bylo je pot\u0159eba otesat. L\u00edcov\u00e1n\u00ed taky nen\u00ed jak u Tamiye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kapitola I: Diagn\u00f3za jm\u00e9nem surfacer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Model\u00e1\u0159stv\u00ed nen\u00ed hobby. Je to diagn\u00f3za. A moje Impala je pr\u00e1v\u011b v intenzivn\u00ed p\u00e9\u010di. Model\u00e1\u0159stv\u00ed toti\u017e nen\u00ed jen o tom slepit p\u00e1r kousk\u016f plastu. Je to vysok\u00e1 \u0161kola trp\u011blivosti a alchymie. Moje prvn\u00ed mise naostro? Dostat na model \u201esurfacer\u201c \u2013 to je takov\u00fd ten z\u00e1zra\u010dn\u00fd \u0161ed\u00fd z\u00e1klad, kter\u00fd m\u00e1 vyhladit v\u0161echny nedokonalosti. Jen\u017ee, jak se uk\u00e1zalo, cesta k dokonal\u00e9mu povrchu nen\u00ed pro za\u010d\u00e1te\u010dn\u00edka nic jednoduch\u00e9ho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M\u016fj prvn\u00ed pokus? \u0158ekn\u011bme, \u017ee jsem to s \u0159edidlem trochu p\u0159ehnal. M\u00edsto elegantn\u00edho n\u00e1st\u0159iku to vypadalo, jako bych model polil hodn\u011b slab\u00fdm \u010dajem. Barva po plastu prost\u011b stekla dol\u016f a zanechala po sob\u011b jen smutn\u00e9 lou\u017ei\u010dky. Tak\u017ee potupn\u011b um\u00fdt a nanovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Podruh\u00e9 u\u017e byla sm\u011bs v po\u0159\u00e1dku. V\u0161echno \u0161lo skv\u011ble, u\u017e jsem se vid\u011bl v c\u00edli, jen\u017ee pak se moje st\u0159\u00edkac\u00ed pistole rozhodla, \u017ee m\u011b m\u00e1 dost. Tryska se v tu nejm\u00ed\u0148 vhodnou chv\u00edli ucpala a pistole si na model sprost\u011b odplivla. V\u00fdsledek? M\u00edsto dokonal\u00e9 karoserie jsem m\u011bl najednou model s ne\u0161tovicemi. Znovu sm\u00fdt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do t\u0159etice v\u0161eho dobr\u00e9ho. Do pistole \u0161la dokonale nam\u00edchan\u00e1 sm\u011bs, tryska \u0161lapala jako \u0161v\u00fdcarsk\u00e9 hodinky a j\u00e1 kone\u010dn\u011b dos\u00e1hl toho k\u00fd\u017een\u00e9ho stavu \u2013 povrch je hladk\u00fd, \u010dist\u00fd a p\u0159ipraven\u00fd. Chybami se \u010dlov\u011bk v\u00e1\u017en\u011b u\u010d\u00ed, i kdy\u017e to n\u011bkdy bol\u00ed (teda sp\u00ed\u0161 smrd\u00ed). To nebyl jen \u201en\u00e1pad\u201c. To byl akt \u010dist\u00e9ho model\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e9ho \u0161\u00edlenstv\u00ed. B\u00edl\u00e1 barva toti\u017e v model\u00e1\u0159stv\u00ed nefunguje jako barva. Funguje jako pr\u016fhledn\u00e1 mlha, kter\u00e1 vy\u017eaduje v\u00edc vrstev ne\u017e cibule na zimu. Po p\u011bti vrstv\u00e1ch jsem m\u011bl pocit, \u017ee nest\u0159\u00edk\u00e1m auto, ale tvo\u0159\u00edm s\u00e1drov\u00fd odlitek. Nakonec jsem toho spr\u00e1vn\u00e9ho efektu dos\u00e1hl (i kdy\u017e m\u011b mo\u017en\u00e1 \u010dek\u00e1 je\u0161t\u011b z\u00e1v\u011bre\u010dn\u00fd lak), ale brzy jsem pochopil, \u017ee ta b\u00edl\u00e1 st\u0159echa nebyla jen designov\u00fd prvek. Byl to test charakteru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pak p\u0159i\u0161la \u010derven\u00e1. Tady jsem se nepou\u010dil a znovu vstoupil do stejn\u00e9 \u0159eky \u2013 nebo sp\u00ed\u0161 do stejn\u00e9 plechovky surfaceru. \u010cerven\u00e1 barva na \u0161ed\u00fd podklad je v model\u00e1\u0159stv\u00ed ofici\u00e1ln\u00ed recept na \u0161\u00edlenstv\u00ed. Zjistil jsem, \u017ee ta \u010derven\u00e1 m\u00e1 kryc\u00ed schopnost asi jako mokr\u00fd pap\u00edrov\u00fd kapesn\u00edk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prvn\u00ed vrstva:<\/strong> R\u016f\u017eovofialov\u00fd hnus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Druh\u00e1 vrstva:<\/strong> St\u00e1le prosv\u00edt\u00e1 \u0161ed\u00e1.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>T\u0159et\u00ed vrstva:<\/strong> Za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 to vypadat jako barva, ale jen pod ur\u010dit\u00fdm \u00fahlem.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u010ctvrt\u00e1 vrstva:<\/strong> Kone\u010dn\u011b \u010derven\u00e1!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>P\u00e1t\u00e1 vrstva:<\/strong> Fin\u00e1ln\u00ed v\u00edt\u011bzstv\u00ed, u\u017e se mi to za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 l\u00edbit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e1sledovaly brusn\u00e9 pap\u00edry a snaha neprobrousit hrany. Jako nen\u00ed to ide\u00e1ln\u00ed, ale na to, \u017ee je to poprv\u00e9, to jde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kdy\u017e p\u0159i\u0161la na \u0159adu ta agresivn\u00ed \u010derven\u00e1, maskoval jsem nav\u00edc tak d\u016fkladn\u011b, \u017ee by m\u011b mohli najmout na izolaci jadern\u00e9ho reaktoru. Kilometry \u017elut\u00e9 p\u00e1sky, hodiny precizn\u00edho hlazen\u00ed hran&#8230; a v\u00fdsledek? V\u0161ichni to zn\u00e1me. Ten moment, kdy s posv\u00e1tnou \u00factou strh\u00e1v\u00e1\u0161 maskovac\u00ed p\u00e1sku, v pozad\u00ed ti hraje Elvis a ty \u010dek\u00e1\u0161 dokonalou linku. A m\u00edsto toho na tebe vykoukne mal\u00fd rud\u00fd vet\u0159elec. Podfuk! \u010cerven\u00e1 barva si na\u0161la cestu pod masku v n\u011bkolika m\u00e1lo milimetrech, kter\u00e9 pak sv\u00edtily na t\u00e9 pracn\u011b vybojovan\u00e9 b\u00edl\u00e9 jako opar. P\u0159edstavte si to: okraje mus\u00ed b\u00fdt perfektn\u011b chromov\u00e9 a vnit\u0159ek sn\u011bhov\u011b b\u00edl\u00fd. Vymaskovat tuhle \u00fazkou linku na t\u00e9 obrovsk\u00e9 plo\u0161e tak, aby barva nikde neuhnula a p\u0159echod byl ostr\u00fd jako b\u0159itva, to byl \u010dist\u00fd masochismus. P\u00e1r sprost\u00fdch slov padlo a spot\u0159eba maskovac\u00ed p\u00e1sky byla rekordn\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kdy\u017e u\u017e jsem vybojoval v\u00e1lku s barvou, p\u0159i\u0161la partyz\u00e1nsk\u00e1 v\u00e1lka s detaily. Instalace klik u dve\u0159\u00ed a zrc\u00e1tek na ten \u010derstv\u00fd, p\u011btivrstv\u00fd lak byla testem m\u00fdch pevn\u00fdch rukou. Potr\u00e1pilo m\u011b vlepen\u00ed chromovan\u00fdch \u010d\u00e1st\u00ed do hotov\u00e9ho laku, ani\u017e bych si to zapatlal vte\u0159i\u0148\u00e1kem. Jsou tam sice kr\u00e1sn\u00e9 detaily jako slune\u010dn\u00ed clony nebo vnit\u0159n\u00ed zrc\u00e1tko, ale osadit je a neponi\u010dit si p\u0159i tom v\u0161e okolo (stejn\u011b jako vpasov\u00e1n\u00ed detailn\u00edho zav\u011b\u0161en\u00ed podvozku), to vy\u017eadovalo ruce chirurga po d\u00e1vce Propranololu a t\u0159ech k\u00e1v\u00e1ch. D\u00e1v\u00e1m je tam s pocitem, \u017ee je stejn\u011b nikdo nikdy neuvid\u00ed, ale j\u00e1 o nich v\u00edm. Je to \u010dist\u00e1 discipl\u00edna pro fajn\u0161mekry \u2013 osazovat vnit\u0159n\u00ed osv\u011btlen\u00ed v aut\u011b, kde je vid\u011bt sotva na volant, to u\u017e je prost\u011b diagn\u00f3za (a nebo m\u00e1m svatoz\u00e1\u0159).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Z\u00e1v\u011br z boji\u0161t\u011b: 98 % hotovo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tak jo, p\u0159\u00e1tel\u00e9 plastu a pachu \u0159edidla, hl\u00e1s\u00edm, \u017ee sv\u011btlo na konci tunelu u\u017e nen\u00ed protijedouc\u00ed vlak, ale odlesk fin\u00e1ln\u00edho laku. Tahle Impala mi dala zabrat v\u00edc, ne\u017e jsem \u010dekal. U t\u00e9hle klasiky mi ne\u0161lo o po\u010det d\u00edlk\u016f, ale o to, kolik nervov\u00fdch bun\u011bk jsem ob\u011btoval na olt\u00e1\u0159 dokonal\u00e9ho lesku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M\u016f\u017eu s klidn\u00fdm sv\u011bdom\u00edm \u0159\u00edct, \u017ee 90 % stavby je za mnou. Je to zat\u00edm p\u00e1r des\u00edtek hodin pr\u00e1ce, spousta u\u010den\u00ed se na vlastn\u00edch chyb\u00e1ch a n\u011bkolik moment\u016f, kdy jsem cht\u011bl Impalu poslat \u201el\u00e9tat\u201c z okna (ta k\u0159\u00eddla k tomu sv\u00e1d\u00ed). P\u0159e\u017eil jsem to ale j\u00e1 i model. Auto stoj\u00ed na kolech a motor se v\u0161emi t\u011bmi detaily vypad\u00e1 skv\u011ble. Kdy\u017e se pod\u00edv\u00e1m na tu kombinaci \u010derven\u00e9 a b\u00edl\u00e9, v\u00edm, \u017ee a\u017e ten chrom kone\u010dn\u011b sedne, bude na co koukat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aktu\u00e1ln\u011b jsem ve f\u00e1zi, kdy auto vypad\u00e1 jako z autosalonu, ale j\u00e1 se rozhodl pro olejovky a m\u00edrn\u00e9 u\u0161pin\u011bn\u00ed. Te\u010f to sice sv\u00edt\u00ed novotou, ale vypad\u00e1 to a\u017e moc steriln\u011b. Za\u0161pin\u011bn\u00ed (weathering) u takov\u00e9ho k\u0159i\u017en\u00edku silnic je jako l\u00ed\u010den\u00ed modelky p\u0159ed focen\u00edm \u2013 sta\u010d\u00ed, abych to p\u0159ehnal, a z elegantn\u00ed Impaly bude vrak z vrakovi\u0161t\u011b v Alabam\u011b. Ale t\u011bch zb\u00fdvaj\u00edc\u00edch p\u00e1r procent je p\u0159esn\u011b to, co to je\u0161t\u011b pot\u0159ebuje k dod\u00e1n\u00ed du\u0161e a autenti\u010dnosti (a k zamaskov\u00e1n\u00ed drobn\u00fdch nedostatk\u016f :-)).
