V\u0161echna \u010dty\u0159i alba z tohoto obdob\u00ed jsou nap\u011bchovan\u00e1 naprosto geni\u00e1ln\u00ed muzikou, kter\u00e1 m\u011b v\u017edycky spolehliv\u011b dostane. Kdysi jsem tak \u00fapln\u011b nech\u00e1pal n\u00e1zory kritik\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed Marillion ozna\u010dovali za pouhou napodobeninu Genesis. Ale ruku na srdce, po d\u016fkladn\u00e9m poslechu ran\u00fdch desek s Peterem Gabrielem mus\u00edm p\u0159iznat, \u017ee ty hudebn\u00ed vlivy tam zkr\u00e1tka jsou. Moje vyd\u00e1n\u00ed na vinylu (2017 Europe, Parlophone \u2013 0190295825515) je 180gramov\u00fd remaster, kter\u00fd audiofilov\u00e9 pr\u00e1vem oslavuj\u00ed. Zvuk je n\u00e1dhern\u011b prostorov\u00fd, krystalicky \u010dist\u00fd a d\u00e1v\u00e1 vyniknout ka\u017ed\u00e9mu detailu Rotheryho kytary i Fishovu uhran\u010div\u00e9mu vok\u00e1lu. Z gramofonu se tenhle kousek poslouch\u00e1 jako dokonal\u00fd zvukov\u00fd ritu\u00e1l. A pr\u00e1v\u011b u velk\u00e9ho vinylov\u00e9ho form\u00e1tu nav\u00edc naplno vynikne dal\u0161\u00ed \u00fachvatn\u00e1 vrstva tohoto d\u00edla \u2013 jeho obal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/worldofruprecht.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/marillion-fish-band.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-802\" srcset=\"https:\/\/worldofruprecht.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/marillion-fish-band.jpg 800w, https:\/\/worldofruprecht.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/marillion-fish-band-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/worldofruprecht.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/marillion-fish-band-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autorem p\u0159ebalu je britsk\u00fd ilustr\u00e1tor Mark Wilkinson, kter\u00fd vizu\u00e1ln\u011b dotv\u00e1\u0159el Fishovy temn\u00e9 i nad\u011bjn\u00e9 vize. Ten obraz je doslova nabit\u00fd symbolikou a dokonale shrnuje Fishovu du\u0161i v roce 1985. Pokud se zad\u00edv\u00e1te do okna v pozad\u00ed, uvid\u00edte ruku a rolni\u010dky ut\u00edkaj\u00edc\u00edho \u0160a\u0161ka. Tenhle zhrzen\u00fd hrdina prvn\u00edch dvou alb tu vykl\u00edz\u00ed pole, proto\u017ee Fish dosp\u011bl a nech\u00e1v\u00e1 zaho\u0159klou minulost za sebou. \u00dast\u0159edn\u00ed postavou je mal\u00fd chlapec v historick\u00e9 vojensk\u00e9 uniform\u011b (modelem byl tehdy desetilet\u00fd Robert Mead), zosob\u0148uj\u00edc\u00ed onu \u201eztracenou nevinnost\u201c. Kontrast d\u011btsk\u00e9 \u010distoty a tvrd\u00e9, konfliktn\u00ed reality dosp\u011bl\u00e9ho sv\u011bta snad ani ne\u0161lo vyj\u00e1d\u0159it l\u00e9pe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"301\" src=\"https:\/\/worldofruprecht.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/marillion_misplacef3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-776\" srcset=\"https:\/\/worldofruprecht.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/marillion_misplacef3.jpg 600w, https:\/\/worldofruprecht.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/marillion_misplacef3-300x151.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ka\u017ed\u00fd detail tu m\u00e1 sv\u00e9 m\u00edsto. Chlapec dr\u017e\u00ed chameleona, symbol prom\u011bnlivosti a hled\u00e1n\u00ed identity v z\u00e1\u0159i ne\u010dekan\u00e9 sl\u00e1vy. Oknem dovnit\u0159 nakukuje straka \u2013 zlod\u011bjka, kter\u00e1 ukradla bezstarostn\u00e9 d\u011btstv\u00ed. A pak jsou tu vl\u010d\u00ed m\u00e1ky. Ty sice tradi\u010dn\u011b odkazuj\u00ed na padl\u00e9 voj\u00e1ky, ale z\u00e1rove\u0148 symbolizuj\u00ed opojen\u00ed a zapomn\u011bn\u00ed, co\u017e je mraziv\u011b up\u0159\u00edmn\u00e1 reflexe boje kapely s d\u00e9mony alkoholu a drog. Vnit\u0159ek m\u00edstnosti je pln\u00fd st\u00edn\u016f a t\u011b\u017ek\u00fdch vzpom\u00ednek, ale venku za oknem sv\u00edt\u00ed duha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">P\u0159esn\u011b tady se vizu\u00e1ln\u00ed str\u00e1nka dokonale prol\u00edn\u00e1 s textem. Duha p\u0159edstavuje samotn\u00fd hudebn\u00ed z\u00e1v\u011br alba, kter\u00fd po v\u0161ech bolestn\u00fdch pas\u00e1\u017e\u00edch p\u0159in\u00e1\u0161\u00ed katarzi a nad\u011bji. Ta se naplno odr\u00e1\u017e\u00ed v p\u0159ekr\u00e1sn\u00e9m textu skladby \u201eChildhoods End?\u201c, kde Fish zp\u00edv\u00e1:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201eI looked out the window<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I saw a magpie in the rainbow, the rain had gone<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m not alone, I turned to the mirror, I saw you, the child, that still lives within me.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>(Pod\u00edval jsem se z okna<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>A uvid\u011bl straku v duze, d\u00e9\u0161\u0165 u\u017e ustal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Nejsem s\u00e1m, oto\u010dil jsem se k zrcadlu a uvid\u011bl tebe, to d\u00edt\u011b, kter\u00e9 ve mn\u011b st\u00e1le \u017eije.)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je to moment naprost\u00e9ho sm\u00ed\u0159en\u00ed. Cel\u00fd tento koncept \u00fazce souzn\u00ed s hudebn\u00edm obsahem, kter\u00fd je intimn\u00edm vypr\u00e1v\u011bn\u00edm o pocitech samoty, ztracen\u00e9 l\u00e1sce a spaluj\u00edc\u00ed touze po bezpe\u010d\u00ed d\u011btstv\u00ed. Osobn\u00ed rovina se prom\u00edt\u00e1 i do skladeb jako \u201eHeart of Lothian\u201c, odkazuj\u00edc\u00ed na Fishovy skotsk\u00e9 ko\u0159eny. Kdy\u017e se pod\u00edv\u00e1te na dobov\u00e9 recenze, album bylo pro kapelu obrovsk\u00fdm triumfem. V dob\u011b, kdy progresivn\u00edmu rocku zrovna nep\u0159\u00e1lo \u0161t\u011bst\u00ed, zaz\u00e1\u0159ilo <em>Misplaced Childhood<\/em> jako maj\u00e1k. Dobov\u00fd hudebn\u00ed tisk \u017easl nad t\u00edm, jak p\u0159irozen\u011b se poda\u0159ilo spojit komplexn\u00ed prog-rockov\u00e9 struktury s popovou p\u0159\u00edstupnost\u00ed, a siln\u00e9 balady \u201eKayleigh\u201c a \u201eLavender\u201c p\u0159ivedly k tomuto \u017e\u00e1nru z\u00e1stupy nov\u00fdch poslucha\u010d\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marillion s Fishem nebyli jen hudebn\u00edci; byli to vyprav\u011b\u010di bolesti a melancholie. Deska <em>Misplaced Childhood<\/em> nen\u00ed jen souborem p\u00edsn\u00ed, ale prov\u00e1zan\u00fdm celkem, neodd\u011bliteln\u00fdm od sv\u00e9ho vizu\u00e1ln\u00edho ztv\u00e1rn\u011bn\u00ed. Je to deska pro ty z v\u00e1s, kte\u0159\u00ed hledaj\u00ed hloubku a emoce, ze kter\u00fdch mraz\u00ed v z\u00e1dech.
